Organizations that will be present

  • Camilo Cahis Marxist Publishing House is the publishing house of the Revolutionary Communist Party and the distributor of Wellred Books in Canada. They offer a wide selection of Marxist theory and history books, both classic and contemporary.
  • AK Press is a worker-run collective that publishes and distributes radical books and other media to expand minds and change worlds. Anarchism is reflected both in the books they provide and in the way they organize their business. Decisions at AK Press are made democratically, from what they publish, to what they distribute. All the work is shared and it gets done without bosses. Their goal is supplying radical ideas to as many people as possible. The books they distribute are mostly published by independent presses, not corporate giants. They make them widely available as tools for social movements struggling to build a new world.
  • Pluto Press is a radical political publishing house. Founded in 1969, they are one of the world’s oldest radical publishers, and their focus remains making interventions in contemporary struggles. Their books and authors have been lauded for their contribution to non-fiction writing and impact on political discourse. They proudly identify as anti-capitalist, internationalist and politically independent.
  • Klasbatalo is the Canadian affiliate of the Internationalist Communist Tendency. They publish political analysis, promote revolutionary socialist ideas, and foster internationalist class solidarity beyond national boundaries.
  • Fernwood has published for scholarly, academic, literary, and general readers. Their books analyze exploitation and oppression while amplifying struggles seeking to transform a harmful status quo. They publish critical books for critical thinkers, meaning they are seeking new possibilities for collective thriving, relating, and understanding. Readers choose Fernwood books because they engage with radical ideas and contribute to the structural change we all deserve.
  • Kersplebedeb is a publisher of radical books & pamphlets, and manufacturer of radical agit prop materials. They have a non-exclusive focus on anti-patriarchal and anti-imperialist politics, framed within an anticapitalist perspective. A special priority is given to writings regarding armed struggle in the metropole, the continuing struggles of political prisoners and prisoners of war, and the political economy of imperialism
  • Between the Lines is a social movement press founded in 1977. They publish nonfiction books that expose and challenge oppression in our society. They aim to amplify the struggles of Black, Indigenous, and racialized communities; migrants; women; queer folks; and working-class people. BTL is proudly leftwing and the books they publish reflect their activist roots and commitment to social justice struggles!

    Event is free to attend.
