Annual Bread & Roses Labor Awards Dinner

We are delighted to invite you to the Western Virginia Coalition of Labor Union Women’s 2026 Bread & Roses Labor Awards Dinner. This inspiring event will be held to honor exceptional leaders and advocates who have made significant contributions to the labor movement and the advancement of women in the workforce. This year's honorees are Woman of the Year - Hannah Long, Man of the Year - William "Bill" Dunn, and Profiles in Courage - Delegate Lily Franklin.
This year's dinner will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2016 at the Salem American Legion which is located at 710 Apperson Drive, Salem, Virginia. We will start the day with a social hour at 6:00pm. Dinner will be served at 7:00pm with the awards to follow at 8:00pm. There will be a cash bar (sorry, cash only, we don't have a way to take cards).
We warmly encourage you to join us for an evening of celebration, camaraderie, and recognition. Tickets for the dinner are now available for purchase. Don’t miss your opportunity to connect with fellow union members, allies, and community leaders while supporting our ongoing efforts for equity and justice in the workplace.
Tickets are $45 each or a table of 8 for $360. We will also have programs available and are selling advertisements for it. The prices are as follows:

In order for us to be able to have time to print the programs, we have a HARD DEADLINE for the requests of ads to be received no later than April 17, 2026. We also respectfully ask that the advertisements be sent in either PDF or JPEG form and emailed to [email protected].
The deadline to purchase tickets is May 1, 2026 as there will be no tickets sold at the door. We ask that you please make all checks payable to the Western Virginia CLUW and can be mailed to:
