Whether they are a cat fan or dog lover, a reluctant rhymer or practiced poet, your child will love this fun and relaxed workshop led by poet and children's author, Gita Ralleigh. Over 90 minutes, budding writers will write their own animal-themed poem and perform in our Animal Slam! We will begin by reading poems by poets from Elinor Farjeon to Rainer Maria Rilke, then begin to create our own acrostic poems and illustrate them.
What to bring: Notepad and pen/pencil.
