Have you been noticing a stirring in your body lately, a heat, a tightening, or a feeling thatโs asking for attention?
Maybe youโve noticed anger rising more often in your life, sometimes subtly and sometimes with surprising intensity.
Perhaps itโs showing up in your relationships or as part of your healing process.
Or maybe youโre deep in mothering, and anger is rising as you navigate unmet needs, exhaustion, or the sense of losing access to your own time, body, or space.
Maybe youโre furious at the global political and environmental situation.
Or you donโt really feel anger at allโฆ and you also find it hard to speak up, hold boundaries, take action or take up space without guilt or fear.
As women, many of us have cultural stories and personal experiences that have taught us that anger is not OKโฆin fact, itโs dangerous.
And it can be, when used irresponsibly. But the answer is not to squash it down altogether.
Because when we do that, we disconnect from one of our most vital sources of truth, power and protection.
Youโre invited to join us in a one-day workshop where we gently flip the script on Anger and get to know it as a fierce and loving ally.
Together, weโll explore how anger moves through the body, what itโs trying to communicate, and how to stay connected to yourself while itโs present.
As you begin to befriend Anger in your body, and learn how to work with it wisely, it can become a source of clarity, energy and courage.
Itโs natural that when we start to explore anger, other feelings show up tooโฆ like Fear, Sadness and Joy.
Fear especially can arise as you connect with Anger, because you may worry about what will happen if you let it out, what others will think, or whether itโs safe to express your needs at all, especially if this hasnโt been modelled or welcomed in your past.
Or you might not want to become like โthose angry peopleโ.
All of this is part of the process. Weโll take our time, inviting you to stay attuned to your own signals and move in ways that feel right for your nervous system and pace.
There will be space for every feeling to be acknowledged and worked with gently.
Come and explore how Anger can be a source of power in your life, not power over, but power with.
Just as each of your core feelings can become a superpower, connecting you to your intuition, boundaries and inner wisdom.
This day will be a blend of embodied practices and reflective conversations exploring how to harness the gifts of Anger, and the other core feelings, in your everyday life.
We will engage in conscious feelings work, body-based exercises, nervous system practices, restorative integration, and spaciousness for reflection, supporting you to take your insights into life beyond the workshop.
The retreat will take place at the Muckleford Community Centre, a gorgeous old church set amidst open farmland, offering a spacious and grounded container for this work.
* This training is open to Cis women, Trans women, Non-binary and gender-fluid people who feel โwomanโ is an identity they share an experience with.
