@ 6pm: 🧢 REAL RECOGNIZE REAL WORKSHOP WITH LEGENDARY NOTIS POSEIDA Founding Father Notis Poseida is the first Legendary butch realness in the Canadian kiki scene. They were the first butch to walk body and sex siren in Canada. In the mainstream scene, they are the Canadian overseer of the House of Del Core. In this workshop, Father Notis will talk about the history of butches in the ballroom scene, different butch categories, and break down the different realness categories.

@ 7pm: 🌈 BIRDHOUSE TIE DYE SESSION WITH PRINCE BUNNY ANDROMEDA & RYN 007

• Bring your own white shirt or piece of cotton fabric to tie dye, dyes will be provdied free of charge! Please remember a t-shirt or piece of fabric will be highly reccommeded ofr beginners, other items of clothing will be more complicated.

@ 8:15: 👟SNEAKER SEMINAR WITH PATIENTS ANDROMEDA - Don’t know where to start with footwear? You don’t have to go it alone. Come to the Birdhouse to learn a thing or twelve about navigating the sneakerhead universe.

The stars have aligned once more…it’s happening again. Shadows grow long and the skies start to twist, Andromeda season is here. Calling all girls, guys, ghouls, fags & freaks to the runway–tonight we’re turning the categories out a little different. This ball will be entirely run in house, from the chants & beats to an undeniable panel, so bring it in the name of out of this world uniqueness and personality. In collaboration with The Birdhouse.

We’ve got workshops & sessions leading all the way up to the ball, so don’t be a stranger and come on down. The best effects are never made in a vacuum, and we really want this to be a Halloween time Ball to remember. Ballroom is a culture born from the fruits of Black & Latina Femme Queens’ love and labour. Originating from Harlem, New York & being brought to a global stage throughout the decades, community dialogue is ever-evolving through generations. By acknowledging and embodying where the foundations come from, we can participate as enthusiastic guests in this city in something bigger than ourselves.

These events take place on the stolen, ancestral territories of the Musqueam, Skxwú7mesh-ulh, and Tsleil-Waututh nations. Understanding the harmful legacies settler colonialism has woven to these lands and the people living amongst them is one step towards a lifestyle that can help build ways to see indigenous sovereignty thrive.

ACCESSIBILITY: Flashing and moving lights at this event. Entrance is ground level through double doors with a wheelchair accessible entrance/exit (double doors 70 in. wide, single door is 35 in). There are no stairs or steps throughout the venue. The door to the outdoor patio is 35 inches wide, there is a cord that is ½” off the ground running parallel before the door to the outdoor patio. All washrooms are all genders. The wheelchair accessible washroom’s measurements are as follows: door clearance of 34 inches, sink height is 33 inches, toilet paper is 32 inches from the toilet, paper towel height is 44 inches, and a railing on the right side of the toilet is 31 inches from the ground. The door opens inwards to the washroom, the dimensions of the washroom are 94 inches x 70 inches.
