Empower yourself with our monthly Empowerment Self-Defense (ESD) workshop series! These workshops are designed to provide comprehensive training in physical, verbal, and emotional self-defense techniques, all within a supportive and empowering environment. Whether you are looking to enhance your personal safety, boost your confidence, or connect with a community of like-minded individuals, our ESD workshops are perfect for you.
What to Expect:
- Comprehensive and Holistic Training: We believe in providing options so one has options to choose the strategies and techniques that best fit their needs and circumstances. Each workshop covers a range of strategies for your "safety toolbox", including Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu based self-defense techniques to physically protect yourself, verbal strategies to assert boundaries, and psychoeducational content that will help you to maintain resilience in stressful situations.
- Interactive Sessions: Engage in hands-on practice with experienced instructors who will guide you through common scenarios, ensuring you leave each session with practical skills you can use in everyday life. No experience is required, only a willingness to learn, get moving, and participate actively.
- Supportive Environment: Our workshops foster a safe and inclusive space where participants can share experiences, ask questions, and support one another. You'll be part of a community that values empowerment and mutual respect. No one is expected to do anything they feel uncomfortable with.
Workshop Details:
- Date: First Sunday of each month (Sept 29 / Oct 27 / Nov 24 / No Class Dec / Jan 26 / Feb 23)
- Time: 4:30 - 6:00 pm
- Location: Flow Martial Arts, 1355 Kingsway, Vancouver.
