About this Event
“What is Love?”
MBKCares and the Walnut West Library have partnered once again for a meaningful and inspiring community gathering. The 4th Annual “What is Love?” program will take place on Saturday, February 14, 2026, from 1:00 PM–4:00 PM (doors open at 12:30 PM) at the Walnut West Library, located at 40th and Walnut Street in Philadelphia. Admission is free, and guests will enjoy complimentary refreshments.
This event will be filled with hope expressed through creative arts and open dialogue. Together, we will explore the meaning of love from multiple perspectives, including self-love, community care, healing, and social responsibility.
The program will feature powerful spoken word performances by Mo The Poet (Spoken Word Artist) and King Deen (Youth Ambassador). We will also hear from an engaging panel of community leaders and professionals as we dive deeper into conversations around love and wellness.
Our expert panelists include Tyrique Glasgow (Executive Director, Young Chances Foundation), Jessica Hackett-Smith (Licensed Professional Counselor), Qóura Jones (Herbalist), and Vernon Ray (Founder of Shoot Cameras, Not Guns).
Featured speakers include Allana Joyner-Stephens (Founder of CHAOS) and Ronald G. Waters (Community Leader).
The event will be hosted by Ihsan Hines, also known as Purpose, President and Founder of My Brother’s Keeper Cares.
The Walnut West Library is located next to the University of Pennsylvania, directly on the corner of 40th and Walnut Street. The exact address is 201 S. 40th Street, Philadelphia, PA 19104. Seating is limited, so advance registration is encouraged.
