Come join us for a magical night celebrating the Seasan and be part of a traditional Viennese Ball. Indulge in a feast of delicious food and exquisite wine while dancing the night away in a stunning setting. This event will take place at the Organization of American States, promising an evening filled with elegance and joy. The event is hosted under the gracious patronage of the Austrian Ambassador, DDr. Petra Schneebauer and supported by the City of Vienna, Austria.
Our traditional opening ceremonies as you would see them at a Ball in Vienna, will be even grander this year, featuring 40 Midshipmen from the United States Naval Academy performing Johann Strauss II’s Fledermaus Quadrilles. Join us for the Radetzky Grand March led by Tanzmeister Carol Traxler, enjoy Austrian folk dances, and experience the Fledermaus Quadrille No. 6. The evening will include a champagne reception in the Palm Court, followed by Austrian savories, desserts, select Austrian wines, and Viennese coffee.
Washington’s celebrated salon orchestra, con brio!, will be back to perform beloved waltzes by Strauss, Lehár, Waldteufel, and Tchaikovsky, along with polkas, foxtrots, tangos, and festive holiday tunes masterfully arranged for dancing.

To help you prepare, we’re also offering traditional Viennese Waltz lessons starting Saturday, November 22 (Beginner), November 29, and on Friday, December 5, the evening before the Ball.
