LIVE at Devanadi Yoga or LIVESTREAM event + Replay AvailableThe "Rocket" is an Ashtanga-style vinyasa class, created by Tanya’s Ashtanga teacher, the legendary Larry Schultz (now deceased) of It’s Yoga in San Francisco.
We'll be doing a hybrid of the ROCKET 1 & 2 series - the Rocket 1 is the first part where we have mostly standing poses. The Rocket 2 is where we add in modified poses from the 2nd and 3rd Ashtanga Series in a fun, playful environment.
A fun fact: Larry Schultz taught this practice to members of the Grateful Dead as a way to "get there faster." Did you know Bobby Weir named it "The Rocket"? COOL!
As a tribute to the Grateful Dead, Bob Weir, etc, we'll be spinning GD's greatest hits throughout the class. Wear your tye-dye, and be ready to let your hair down. Come to have fun. We need it Minneapolis!
Level: Advanced Beginners and up
CEs for RYTs: 1.25 by request - must be present to receive CEs
Cost: $30 ($25 for Devanadi 235/340hr TT Alumni)
(Free for new students attending the Free Info Session immediately following)
