About this Event
"The Intermission," an interactive exhibition, showcases works by primarily black female Philadelphia-based artists.
The main characters in this exhibition are a 140-year-old house, serving as the protagonist, joined by a Colored Girl's Museum, a widow, and an ordinary colored girl. The exhibit takes place in a parallel universe in which the colored girl and her widow self have been evicted from the 140 year old house that has been their home to make way for a Colored Girls Museum. The characters must navigate alternate realities to find their way back to each other.
Community Curators - Syd Carpenter, Mz. Icar, Terrell Maurice and Jaclyn Sabree.
