About this Event
Join us for another taping of KUTX'sThe Hole Story.
This stripped-down series features Austin artists performing four songs on the legendary front stage at Hole in the Wall—where artists like Lucinda Williams, Spoon, Shakey Graves, and Gary Clark Jr. got their start. In the spirit of that history, we’re inviting artists to not just perform, but to share the stories behind their songs—what inspired them, what they mean, or the behind-the-scenes moments that shaped them. Think of it like an Austin Storytellers set: raw, real, and intimate.
This taping features our August Artist of the Month Grace Sorensen. Fresh off her debut full-length BLUEPRINT, the Austin R&B/soul singer has made it abundantly clear she is a force to be reckoned with. Well before her debut LP dropped, quickly became an integral part of Austin’s R&B and rap scenes — including a guest appearance on BLK ODYSSY’s debut album, BLK VINTAGE, and a recent single featuring Austin rap heroes Magna Carda for some guest verses. She’s also been an official SXSW artist, performed at ACL Festival, AND (we buried the lead) opened for Diana Ross—a crowning achievement for the young singer and for the city as a whole.
Check in at Hole in the Wall starts at 2:00 p.m. - grab a drink and mingle with your fellow Concert Club members! Taping starts promptly at 2:30 p.m.
