About this Event
"Rough Magic" fireside story telling for adults to celebrate the Spring Equinox
Come join storyteller Bernadette Russell at Lesnes Abbey Lodge for a magical evening of fireside storytelling and celebrations of the Spring Equinox for adults. Let the flickering flames and enchanting stories transport you to the Otherworld. Come gather with us and celebrate the magic of the season.
"I'll be telling stories about shape shifting, chase and transformation, of a girl made of flowers and a boy who becomes a grain of corn, of the power of poetry and the gift of hope, around a roaring fire amongst the ancient trees of this beautiful wood. There'll be lots of time to chat, opportunities to join in with the story if you'd like to (with no obligation to do so!), and we'll co-create a shrine to the season, with flowers and candles and our hopes, plus you'll receive an Ostara gift from me- you'll leave ready to welcome the lighter months. It'll be mysterious. fun and friendly!"
Meet me at the Chesnut Kiosk at 6.30pm (18.30) and we will walk down together to The Clearing (Lesnes outdoor learning space) where a roaring fire will be there to welcome you, ready to start with stories at 7pm (19. 00)
