About this Event
All of Bernd Haussmann's new works have a commonality that grounds us, depicted through nature scenes aged by the seconds, years, and even centuries that have shaped their physicality as we recognize it today. These works show cracks and conversations, with layers of intentionality and interaction between the material, its surface, and the reflection from art to self. The artist wants viewers to turn inwards, and to notice the moments that have culminated in the present. With this series, it comes easily - the luminosity atop each mountain or in each stroke of silver paint encourages reflection; of course art is necessitated by life, but there's a burgeoning reciprocity between life and the nature that composes it which contributes to art's meaning. Every interpretation is personal, intrinsic, and tethered to the observer's past experiences, just as it is found in nature itself.
