March is Brain Health Awareness Month, a meaningful time to learn how to protect and support cognitive well‑being at every stage of life. HomeInstead will be hosting an educational seminar for residents and community guests focused on understanding brain health and the conditions that can affect it.This session will explore what brain health is, common signs and symptoms of decline, risk factors, diagnosis, complications, and approaches to treatment or management. Attendees will also gain insight into the growing impact of dementia in Canada: • Approximately 597,000 Canadians are living with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementias • More than 350 people in Canada are diagnosed with dementia each day • Over half of Canadians express concern about being affected by Alzheimer’s disease
