About This Event

Mental health is no longer a silent issue. It is a growing reality affecting youth, families, campuses, workplaces, and communities. Yet, many young people still struggle in silence because they do not know where to seek help, how to start the conversation, or how to support someone who may be going through emotional distress.

Lift But Not Leave is a mental health well-being advocacy initiative by JCI Lead Tropicana, created with one belief at its heart:
When we lift someone, we must not leave them behind.

This Well-Being Expo Day brings together youth leaders, mental health advocates, community organisations, institutions, and partners to create a safe and meaningful platform for awareness, conversation, early support, and action.

More than just an awareness event, this initiative aims to build a stronger youth support ecosystem. Participants will gain exposure to mental health knowledge, practical peer-support understanding, and available community resources. The project also promotes a long-term pathway where selected youth may be supported through sponsorship to undergo Mental Health First Aid certification, helping them become more capable advocates and first responders within their own communities.

Why You Should Join

This event is designed for young people who care — not only about their own well-being, but also about the people around them.

By joining, you will:

Understand the current reality of youth mental health and why early support matters.

Learn how to recognise signs of mental distress among peers, friends, and community members.

Hear from mental health professionals, youth leaders, institutions, and advocacy organisations.

Explore community booths, well-being resources, health-related showcases, and support networks.

Discover how awareness can become action through Mental Health First Aid and youth-led advocacy.

Be part of a movement that encourages empathy, openness, and help-seeking without stigma.
