"Hey There, Need Care?" Skill & Chill Community Skill Share Day
The Integrated Transgender Program (ITP) Community Advisory Board (CAB) is hosting a community-led skill share day for transgender and gender diverse (trans) people by trans people.
Led by members of the CAB and supported by UC faculty & staff, this day-long event will feature six workshops on resiliency and coping, including:
- Sex for Every Body: Gender-Affirming Sexual Health
- Breathwork: Soulful Presence in Breath
- Self-care Talking Circle
- Navigating Food Prep in a Toxic World
- Joy as Resistance Talking Circle
- Bead Crafting Skillshare
A delicious, healthy lunch and light snacks will be provided, free of cost!
To accomodate guests' accessibility needs, this event will be scent-free and all guests will be required to provide evidence of a negative COVID test at check-in.
Attendance will be capped at 100 people; so don't sleep; reserve your spot today!
Time: Doors open at 9:30am. The event will begin promptly at 10am and conclude by 3pm.
Location: The event will be held at the UCHealth Anschutz medical campus. Exact location will be emailed to RSVPs the day before the event.
Parking: Available at Patient Parking.
ABOUT CAB:
The ITP CAB is a partnership between the trans community and the medical and research staff at UCHealth and University of Colorado Anschutz School of Medicine.
The CAB is composed of trans patients from the Integrated Transgender Program, representatives from community organizations serving trans patients, and community providers. The ITP CAB meets quarterly and provides essential input on the clinical care provided at UCHealth and research initiatives from the School of Medicine.
