Synopsis:
Carpathians. Early 18th century. The brutal rule of the Polish nobility forces the Hutsuls to flee to the mountains. Two brothers, Oleksa and Ivan Dovbush, become outlaws and join the ranks of the opryshoks. Seeking revenge on the lords for the M**der of their parents, the brothers become enemies. One craves wealth, the other justice. The Hutsuls rise in rebellion under the leadership of Oleksa. The nobility does everything possible to destroy Dovbush, but he outwits them. Thus, the legend of the Carpathian knight spreads—a legend that inspires generations to fight for the freedom of their native land. This is a tale of the strength and love of Oleksa Dovbush, of betrayal and injustice, and of how he lived and cheated death.

Синопсис:
Карпати. Початок 18-го століття. Жорстоке правління польської шляхти змушує гуцулів тікати в гори. Двоє братів, Олекса та Іван Довбуші, стають поза законом і приєднуються до опришків. У пошуках помсти за вбивство їхніх батьків, брати стають ворогами. Один прагне багатства, інший — справедливості. Гуцули піднімають повстання під проводом Олекси. Шляхта робить усе можливе, щоб знищити Довбуша, але він перехитрив їх. Так виникає легенда про карпатського лицаря, яка надихає покоління тих, хто бореться за свободу рідної землі. Це історія про силу та любов Олекси Довбуша, про зраду і кривду, про те, як він жив і як обманув смерть.
