Join us as we celebrate another year of independent action filmmakers from December 4th and 5th at the famous Brenden Theatre in Las Vegas at the Palms Casino and Resort!
GainesCon Film Festival is a certified 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated in showcasing, educating, and producing the work of aspiring filmmakers and fellow creatives within UNDERSERVED COMMUNITIES & BEYOND, whose content lies within the realm of ACTION, SCI-FI, FANTASY, and HORROR.
A crucial component of our cause is strongly emphasizing the cultural representation of various ethnic and underrepresented groups within these genres.
This two day event will be shown simultaneously IN-PERSON & VIRTUAL.
Our event will include a Special Presentation of Tom Welling's (Smallville) new movie "MAFIA WARS", directed by well-known action director, Mr. Scott Windhauser.
Also, we'll have one of Hollywoods top stuntman, Mr. Rustic Bodomov, who has been in movies such as "Wakanda Forever" to discuss the road on becoming a working stunt performer.
And, we are fortunate to have the mult-awarding winning film composer, Mr. Michael Vignola, who will discuss the various aspect on creating the correct tone for a scene.
Having all this amazing content under one event won’t be fitting unless there was a way to award those with exceptional material. So we have created "THE DRAGON AWARDS" on the last day of the festival! This beautiful trophy was designed by an amazing illustrator, David Jennings from Ireland, with each hand painted by our renowned makeup artist Mrs. Faith Rios, which makes each Dragon unique. It represents the FORTITUDE, VISION and the INTERNAL FLAME needed to complete any project.
So, join us as we begin a new and exciting space for action, sci-fi, fantasy and horror creators!!

This is intertwined with incredible industry guests and a special presentation from Smallville's Superman himself, Tom Welling.
Special Movie Presentation: "Mafia Wars" - Starring Tom Welling (Smallville)
Info: Tom Welling who played Superman in the hit TV show, "Smallville", has just completed a new action movie called, "Mafia Wars", directed by our good friend and one of Hollywood's well-known artists, Scott Windhauser. Join us, as we watch this action-filled show on the big screen and speak with Scott Windhauser himself following the film.
Rustic Bodomov - Hollywood Stuntman
Info: Rustic Bodomov is one of Hollywood's well-known stunt performers who has been in many major films such as "Wakanda Forever". He'll be discussing the life of a stunt-performer, along with how to get into the field yourself.
Affliction - R&B & Hip-Hop.
Info: David and Sarah are a powerhouse Hip-Hop duo, igniting every stage with electrifying beats and irresistible tracks that keep the crowd moving from the first note to the final encore.. They will be performing LIVE and IN-PERSON for you on December 5th, in the theatre.
Michael Vignola - Film Composer
Info: Michael Vignola is a multi-award winning music composer, discussing the many technics needed to composing a film. Also the best steps on getting your music into one.
