In anticipation and preparation for the incoming administration, Liza Jessie Peterson, Andrea Ambam, and Dria Brown join forces as a first responder artist collective.
In partnership with JACK, The Ancestral Inauguration is a community offering wielding ART to attend to the fears stoked by human rights threats, activate our collective power, and honor the (often-erased) radical legacy of MLK JR on his birthday.
Featuring artistic medicine from playwrights Liza Jessie Peterson, Andrea Ambam, Zora Howard, Keith Joseph Adkins, Nsangou Njikam, and James Anthony Tyler, performances from____, live music from ____, and opportunities for healing and reflection –– Ancestral Inauguration is a day of alchemy transmuting fear to joy, fortifying our spirits, and charting a path forward together.
