About this Event
Join us for Ancestral Abundance: BlackSoil Kickoff & Cultural Soil Prep, a community gathering rooted in culture, connection, and collective care for the land. This event brings neighbors together to prepare the soil for the upcoming growing season while honoring ancestral traditions of land stewardship, food sovereignty, and community healing.
Participants will take part in hands-on garden preparation, educational workshops, and creative cultural activities designed to reconnect us with the soil and with one another. This gathering celebrates the power of community agriculture and the legacy of ancestral knowledge that continues to guide us.
The day will end with a special Harvest Tasting prepared by local Black chefs, along with cultural storytelling and music to celebrate the start of a new growing season.
