Join us for an exciting hands-on Analog Film Workshop led by analog filmmaker Christian Flemm, organized in collaboration with the Cinema Studies Student Union (CINSSU) at the University of Toronto! This unique two-day event is perfect for anyone interested in learning the art of shooting in 16mm.
Day 1 - September 29 - Film Shooting & Development
- 11:00 AM: Introduction to shooting on film and a hands-on guide to using 16mm Bolex cameras. Introduction session will be held in the Burwash Dining Room of Hart House.
- 12:00 - 3:00 PM: Participants will break into three groups to shoot films on campus. Group 1 will shoot at 12:00 PM, group 2 will shoot at 1:00 PM and group 3 will shoot at 2:00 PM.
- 3:30 PM: Film development in the darkroom.
Day 2 - September 30 - Lecture & Film Screening
- 6:00 - 9:00 PM: Lecture and screening of short films at Robarts Media Commons, room 3023.
Important Notes:
- All equipment, including 16mm Bolex cameras, will be provided.
- Snacks and opportunities to network will be available throughout the event.
- Only 2 participants can be in the darkroom at a time.
