This course is delivered by a specialist front-line practitioner with substantial experience of working directly with women & will also be present for the live Q&A during the final segment of the training. The content is shaped by 20 years of practice and our learning from women with Lived Experience.
Overview of course
Come and hear about Beyond the Streets and our direct support services. You will be introduced to the use of language including ‘person centred’ ‘survival sex’, ‘choice’, and ‘empowerment vs rescuing’. The training also offers insight into complexities around views and approaches to the sex industry. You’ll also look at the 5 pillars of being trauma-informed and how this is implemented practically.
• Introduced to Beyond the Streets and our direct support services.
• Exploring stigma, labels, language, and views.
• An introduction to the context– definitions and the 4 main ways of framing the issue.
• Engage Beyond the Streets staff in a Q & A session.
Audience/Attendees
This training is open to all and is especially beneficial for anyone interested in learning about supporting women who sell or exchange sex.

Do you support women who have mentioned selling sex and would like to be better equipped with tools such as language and a trauma-informed approach?
Spaces are limited for this FREE webinar, so booking is essential. We suggest a max of 2 places per project.
This event is aimed at making the sector stronger and to learn about a woman-centred approach. We ask that all who attend respect this intention as this is not provided as an opportunity to debate the various political views on this issue.
