About this Event
This course is an ideal starting point for anyone interested in improving their knowledge and understanding around access and inclusive design in relation to the built environment. In a friendly and interactive online forum the course discusses the breadth and scope of access and inclusion while providing an overview of the relevant legislation including the Equality Act. This course is a useful introduction for anyone considering a career in access, designers improving their knowledge and those looking towards possible future NRAC accreditation. This is CAE’s first online course and has been developed based on one of the most popular public courses.
This programme covers the following areas:
- Accessibility awareness
- Understanding diversity and the built environment
- Introduction to legislation and building design guidance
- The Equality Act 2010 and public sector equality duty
- Examples of good, and bad, practice in inclusive design.
Booking terms and conditions:
Cancellations must be received in writing 14 days before the course date. All cancellations are subject to a 10 per cent administration fee. Where cancellations are received less than 14 days before the start of the course, fees will not be refunded. It is possible to transfer a booking to another person within an organisation or to another date. CAE will charge a 10 per cent transfer charge on each occasion for this service. CAE reserves the right to make amendments to the programme or cancel the course if necessary.
