About this Event
Join us for this interactive Fellow-led event with Rob Percival FRSA, Head of Food Policy at the Soil Association and author of The Meat Paradox, in conversation with Bel Jacobs FRSA. Bel and Rob will be discussing the threats to biodiversity in the UK and what we can do to address them.
Following the talk, participants will be invited to take part in the Biodiversity Collage, a collaborative workshop learning how balanced ecosystems work, through lively discussion and collective knowledge.
During the workshop, which is based on the Intergovernmental Science-Policy Platform on Biodiversity and Ecosystem Services (IPBES), participants will discover the complex inter-relatedness of nature and humans and explore the five major pressures on biodiversity (as well as the outcomes if those pressures are allowed to continue).
The agenda begins with an icebreaker and starter exercises to envision balanced ecosystems, before embarking on the Collage itself. The debrief session allows for discussions, as well as dynamic work, to discover effective actions to support and nurture biodiversity.
The workshop is best suited to those who are concerned about nature, animal lives and biodiversity loss and want to learn more.
