Tom Rush emerged during the early 1960s folk revival and made a successful – artistically, at least - transition to 1970s singer-songwriter. He’s known more for introducing his listeners to new songwriters – Jackson Browne, Joni Mitchell and James Taylor among them – than for writing them himself (although his tune “No Regrets” has been covered numerous times by artists such as The Walker Brothers, Emmylou Harris and Midge Ure). At 83, he’s still performing with a set full of beautiful songs leavened by Rush’s wry humor.Tickets go on sale to the public on Aug. 1.
