About this Event
BAFTA award-winning TV writer James Alistair Henry joins us to discuss his debut novel, Pagans!
Pagans is the hilariously funny debut novel from the BAFTA award winning TV writer James Alistair Henry, the man behind smash hit comedies including Green Wing, Smack the Pony, Bob The Builder, Hey Duggie, Sean the Sheep, and cult comedy TV hits Delivery Man (ITV 1), Piglets (ITV 1) and Campus (C4). Set in an alternate present of a Britain which was never invaded by the Normans, and which is now split between Nordic, Saxon, and Celtic cultures, it is a fantastically witty and intelligent crime thriller, following police trying to solve a crime against a backdrop of political change and tension.
James will be discussing moving from TV writing to prose fiction, the development of his alternate history of Britain, the joys of the police procedural, and more, before signing copies of his novel.
