Melisa Flores and Roxy Romero are not fans of each other. Roxy is sporty while Meli is artsy. Meli keeps her friend circle small while Roxy is pals with everyone. Called "a master storyteller" by Kirkus Reviews, Chantel Acevedo is the author of several novels for children and adults. Her latest middle grade novel, THE CURSE ON SPECTACLE KEY, is a lightly spooky story set in the Florida Keys, has been honored on several young reader state lists, and was a 2023-2024 Sunshine State Young Reader Award nominee. NO WAY NEVER SISTERS is her first co-authored book. She is Professor of English and Creative Writing at the University of Miami.

Natalia Sylvester writes books for children, teens, and adults. Her young adult novel, Breathe and Count Back from Ten, was named a Pura Belpré Honor book and Schneider Family Honor book by the American Library Association, and Running is a Junior Library Guild Gold Standard book for teens. Born in Lima, Peru, she grew up in Florida and Texas. No Way Never Sisters is her first co-authored book, and her first middle grade novel!
