Why join us for Hawa Haji's Hido iyo Dhaqan night?
Have you ever felt you wanted to break it down or join a cultural dance circle but were too anxious for whatever reason?
We want to provide a space for sisters to watch, take in and even demonstrate their moves in a supportive environment!
We will have cultural dance demonstrations by supportive mentors and sisters. This is an only ladies space so feel free to break it down or break down because we all are struggling in our own ways. We will have an inspirational but general mental health discussion which is only meant to further and add to the communities willingness to talk more about mental health. We will also discuss where to find supports in our communities!
As the organizer of this event I have struggled and still struggle with my mental health (anxiety and postpartum depression)... its when I put on events like these in the community that I feel like it is helping me in my journey towards self love,self affirmation and healing!
I hope all of you can join us and support my art's entrepreneurial dreams as well! Your attendance will mean the world to me!
