Amy Blanding (she/her) is a queer, disabled musician who is unapologetically and unequivocally creating the music that needs to be heard. Known for her profound songwriting, powerful voice, and electric stage presence, Amy Blanding collects moments in the Northern wild and turns them into stalwart, protest folk songs with a raw edge.
Born in the four corners region of Navajo: Hopi, Ute, and Zuni territory (Colorado) and raised on the red shores of Epekwitk - Mi’kmaq territory (PEI) she took the long way home to the traditional and unceded territory of the Lheidli T’enneh (Prince George). Cutting her teeth with nationally recognized folk rock band Black Spruce Bog, and boasting collaborations with the Prince George Symphony Orchestra, Kym Gouchie, Rachelle van Zanten, Marcel Gagnon, Reckless Burning, and countless other artists, Amy Blanding’s music seamlessly bridges the gap between audience, artist, and advocacy toward a greater possibility for the collective.
