Exhibition Statement
Amor Sin Miedo: Everything Is Changing reflects on love as a force shaped by loss, memory, and transformation. Drawing from personal loss and the erosion of cultural landmarks through gentrification, Duncan explores how love persists amid the displacement of Black and Brown communities in South Central Texas. Grounded in the landscapes of her youth, the work honors the spaces and people central to our collective histories. The exhibition calls for loving without fear of loss, celebrating remembrance as an act of resistance.
