No Names began nearly ten years ago as a love letter to our mutual favourite bands. Nailbomb, Godflesh, Big Black, Ministry, Nine Inch Nails, Killing Joke, Helmet, and The Mark of Cain. They are more pretentious than this. They’ve seen Philip Glass solo piano, Steve Reich, and Midori Takada don’t you know.
THE BLACK OWL QUARTET are an acoustic instrumental ensemble who play gypsy jazz originating from Romani guitarist Django Reinhardt in the 1930’s. Whilst the Quartet have their own interpretation of the genre it is deeply rooted in the tradition and swing of hot club-style jazz. The Black Owl Quartet features Marcus De Pasquale (Witchskull, Hekate) – Lead Guitar, Jeremy Tsui (Ozimops, Scigod) – Bass, Ash Byron (Hekate) – Rhythm Guitar and Isabelle Lee - Violin.
