Be transported by the extraordinary music of Amir John Haddad, known professionally as El Amir – a flamenco guitarist whose music transcends traditional boundaries. El Amir’s musical landscape is shaped by a remarkable fusion of sounds, rooted in his early connection with the Arabic oud. The instrument became a pivotal influence, helping him craft a unique musical identity that weaves Middle Eastern tonalities with the energetic spirit of flamenco. His virtuosity extends far beyond the guitar, as he masterfully plays an array of instruments including the oud, bouzouki, banjo, saz, bass, ukulele, and electric guitar.
A musician of international acclaim, El Amir has collaborated with some of the world’s most renowned artists and composers. His guitar work has graced major film soundtracks, from James Bond: No Time to Die and The Boss Baby 2 to The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run, and he has been the official guitar soloist for The World of Hans Zimmer arena tour since 2018. His musical journey includes a decade with the groundbreaking world music group Radio Tarifa, where he earned a Latin Grammy nomination, and continued success with the fusion band Chambao.
