Ted Russell Kamp
Known around L.A. as a first-call bassist who can drive gutsy rockers and soulful groovers as naturally as he delivers heartrending ballads, Grammy-winning musician Ted Russell Kamp has also established himself over the years as a versatile songwriter and hard-working indie artist and producer. His 14th album, California Son, due March 22 from KZZ Records, is his most personal yet. It’s deeply informed by L.A.’s rock ‘n’ roll mythology and the cultural landscapes he has soaked up since rooting himself in Los Angeles.
Colt Classic was born on the backroads of central Texas and grown in the sprawls of Los Angeles. Combining the storytelling giddy-up of country music with the sweat and swagger of rock & roll, Colt Classic has coined the term Tonk & Roll to define their unique style. After a busy 2023 that included dates in Texas and California, the band looks to continue a string of shows that’ll get the bar room dancing and the people’s feet moving.
