About this Event
Hosted by Matt Chambers - whisky and spirits writer, influencer and presenter, and co-founder of North London Whisky Club and award-winning Whisky For Everyone blog.
We will be sampling five whiskeys from the diverse world of American whiskey to celebrate the American holiday of Thanksgiving on the actual day - Thursday, November 28. Within the five whiskeys we will demonstrate many of the key factors that make them unique and so popular. This includes exaamples of bourbon, rye and single malt.
From the traditional heartlands of Kentucky to the innovative artisanal craft distillers found elsewhere in the States, we will explore them all. Learn a bit of the history and information about each whisky that you are tasting from your experienced host. If you think American whiskey is just about Jack and Jim, then think again ...
The tasting will take place at The Haverstock Tavern, a fabulous pub on Haverstock Hill, NW3. This is just five minutes walk from Chalk Farm underground station (Northern Line / Edgware branch). Several local bus routes also stop nearby.
The tasting will last approximately 1.5 to 2 hours.
No previous whisky knowledge needed, just enthusiasm and interest.
All guests are asked to Drink Responsibly. Plenty of water will be provided.
Strictly over 18s only. Please bring ID if you are lucky enough to look close to that age.
