About this Event
This American Red Cross Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is designed for healthcare providers who manage or respond to pediatric cardiopulmonary emergencies. Through a combination of self-paced online learning and an instructor-led skills session, participants build the advanced assessment and resuscitation skills needed to care for infants and children in critical situations.
This is a blended learning course.
All participants must complete the required online portion before attending the in-person skills session. Access instructions for the online training will be provided after registration.
During the in-person session, participants will practice and demonstrate:
- High-quality pediatric CPR
- Airway management and respiratory support
- Recognition and treatment of shock and respiratory failure
- Pediatric rhythms and electrical therapy
- Team dynamics and effective communication during resuscitation
- Integrated pediatric case scenarios
Upon successful completion of both components, learners will receive an American Red Cross PALS certification, valid for 2 years.
This class is ideal for nurses, physicians, EMS providers, and other clinicians seeking PALS training.
