About this Event
Join The Lumen Foundation for Enrichment & Advancement for a two‑day American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor Training designed for educators, youth workers, health and safety staff, and community leaders who want to teach life‑saving skills. This blended course combines required online pre‑work with in‑person, hands‑on sessions in Houston on January 10–11, 2026.
During this training, instructor candidates learn how to deliver Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED courses using official curricula and training materials, facilitate skills practice and scenarios, and evaluate participants for course completion and certification. Successful completion earns you a 2‑year American Red Cross First Aid/CPR/AED Instructor certification, authorizing you to teach basic‑level First Aid/CPR/AED classes through an approved Training Provider.
Participants must complete the online portion of the course before the in‑person dates and meet Red Cross prerequisites, including holding a current basic‑level First Aid/CPR/AED (or equivalent) certification and being at least 16 years old by the last day of the course. Detailed instructions for accessing the online training and claiming your voucher will be emailed after registration.
