About this Event
Join the Friends of North Creek Forest to remove invasive species and get our hands dirty! North Creek Forest is a 64-acre mature forest located just outside downtown Bothell and provides habitat for a diverse range of plants and animals. We will be spreading locally-donated mulch over an area of the forest that has recently been cleared of invasive blackberry. The mulch reduces erosion and stabilizes the soil, and breaks down into nutrients for the next generation of forest plants and animals.
Lunch will be provided following the Restoration Party!
Alternative Spring Break (ASB) is a different way to spend your spring break! ASB allows students to engage in community service and educational programming. These programs allow students and community members a chance to learn new skills, connect with others, volunteer, and support their local communities.
This happens every year in March, during the UW/Cascadia College spring break.
The CoSEE, Outdoor Wellness, UW Bothell Sustainability, and Cascadia Sustainability partner to host Alternative Spring break for the Bothell campus and surrounding community.
