[[MASQUERADE]]It’s that time of year again, when winter’s grasp shakes loose for a moment and we find ourselves meeting in the tenuous dreamspace between seasons. Our masquerade is a chance to see one another free of the grime and grit of our regular season games, and indulge in myriad frivolities for an evening.
There are a few significant changes to how we’re managing things this year, so please read this thoroughly before confirming your participation in this year’s event.
OOG Info:
This year we will have our soirée at Diptych Studio, 122 John Street in Toronto on March 21st, starting at 6pm. This is the same venue as last year.
What is not the same as last year is some of the activities you’ll be able to participate in, and some of the rules we will have to abide by to keep our good standing with the venue owner. Please click on the link below to read more, and find out how you can pre-register for the event!
IG Info:
This is an in-character event, which means that you can expect some lighter narrative elements, along with gaining 2 AP for your attending character. We will attempt to have sectioned off areas to be out-of-game, for those who need a break or simply wish to socialise with their friends.
The Masquerade is a function of the reality-warping nature of the Flux. It is represented by a dreamlike state that is similar to, yet a departure from, reality - as such, your character’s consciousness will be transported here by some means (that no one has been able to explain…yet), and your costuming should reflect your character’s ideal of how they would look in a fancy setting.
For this event, you will not need item tags or phys-reps of any kind. LARP-safe weapons are permitted as decorations, but you may not use them to engage in any combat or physically active demonstrations.
Fear not, those of you who have characters in limbo! Characters who are newly fallen into the flux can appear at the masquerade to indulge in a taste of what is to come.
