About this Event
Altars & Adornments invites participants to create small altars/shrines and ornaments using paper-mâché, exploring the intersections of self-love, honoring our histories, and aspirations as survivors. This medium utilizes cardboard and tape to create a structure, which is then covered in recycled paper and paste (made up of flour & water). This workshop will engage the senses through the tactile process of paper-mâché. All supplies provided.
This is a free event with an RSVP. If this event is sold out, walk-in's are welcome based on seat availability at the time of the event!
There are two steps to enter the building. Dial 012 on the call box and we will buzz you in! Go up the stairs or front elevator to the 2nd floor, we are the last door on the right.
If you utilize a wheelchair, please email or call Awakenings ahead of your arrival and a staff member can direct you up to the studio in our freight elevator.
