Frank Gratkowski - altosax, clarinets, ﬂutes
Kazuhisa Uchihashi - guitar, saxophone
"Our style is every style," Kazu said to Frank after a concert they played together. Their improvisations are full of surprises, unexpected twists and turns and cannot really be categorized stylistically. From the very ﬁrst moment, which took place around 2016, Frank and Kazu felt a strong musical connection. Since then, they have played together regularly in smaller and larger formations such as SKEIN, Achim Kaufmann's Trokaan Project and Frank Gratkowski's Entrainment. After a long tour in Japan in 2023, the two decided to continue their duo work more intensively. Another Japan tour followed in 2024 and a first Duo CD will be released just in time for the concert at Donau115.
