Lady Laughs Philly brings you ANOTHER great lineup of all women and queer comics. We're back at Silk City Diner and excited to make you laugh!
Your host, Marcela Onyango, is a stand-up comedian and writer based in Brooklyn and Washington DC who is currently a columnist for Shado Mag. Marcela has performed at the Apollo, SF Sketchfest, The Black Women in Comedy Festival, The Laughing Devil Cup Festival and the Red Clay Comedy Festival. Marcela has opened for Punkie Johnson, Monet X Change and Judah Friedlander. Marcela was the runner up in the 2021 Ladies of Laughter stand up competition. Marcela’s pilot “Trying to Live” was a second rounder in the 2021 Sundance Episodic Lab and a semifinalist in the 2021 BlueCat screenplay competition.

Our venue, Silk City Diner, has been featured on the popular tv show Diners, Drive-ins and Dives. It is a retro diner serving classic American fare such as burgers, salads, and sandwiches. It also has a large selection of craft beers and cocktails.
