Summer is here, and we have a fabulous event marked on our calendar for Sunday, July 14th. This event will be hosted by the renowned local and international wine writer, Stephen Barrett.Stephen Barrett is well-known to all wine lovers in the West Country as the genial host of many exclusive wine tastings and events throughout the year. With extensive travel and knowledge in many aspects of wine and wine education, Stephen has graciously accepted the invitation from the Honkytonk Wine Library to host a Summertime Champagne and Sparkling Wine tasting on the terrace on Sunday, July 14th.

All things Fizz Wine Tasting £29.95 per head (does not include food) If you would like to eat please choose from our BBQ menu, and enjoy the sunshine “Hopefully”
(1) NV Crémant de Bourgogne Brut Grande Cuvée, Veuve Ambal
Tasting Note: Burgundian fizz, full of exotic fruit, balanced by a fresh wash of citrus; on the nose, the perfume of white flowers and a warm scent of fresh-baked pastries.
(2) Champagne NV Brut Tradition, Gobillard
Tasting Note: Supple, quaffable Champagne fu l of red fruit, citrus and almonds.
(3) NV Cuveé Classic, Pere Ventura Tasting Note: Fragrant, balanced Cava, full of green apple and white peach, with delicate scents of toasted brioche and lemon balm.
(4) NV Prosecco Brut Argeo, Ruggeri
Vibrant lemon, apricot and jasmine aromas. Refreshing, crisp and bone dry with citrus, fresh herb, stone fruit and pear flavours. Classic, elegant Prosecco with a fine mousse.
(5) NV The Peppermint Paddock Red Sparkling Chambourcin, d'Arenberg. Tasting Note: Vibrant purple sparkling wine from South Australia, a melding of ripe plum and black olive, with a whiff of cedar, another of mint and a third of Christmas spice.
