The mission is the Heavenleigh Scholarship Fund, created to honor a beloved member of our basketball family, Heavenleigh. The fund's purpose is to help low-income families with financial burdens.
This fund was born from the story of a young girl named Ralaya, who was in the 4th grade when she lost her mother, Heavenleigh, in July due to Sickle Cell complications. Her family, like many others, met the income requirements for scholarships but didn't qualify because they lived outside of Columbia's city limits. Her family felt a fund addressing this specific barrier was the perfect way to honor Heavenleigh’s name. Ralaya is an example of the many children this fund will help.
The All-Star Charity Classic is the night we put that mission into action. On the court, you'll witness some of the biggest names in sports and entertainment, but the game is only half the story. Throughout the night, you can enter for a chance to be selected to participate in our fan competitions. If your name is drawn, you can go head-to-head with other fans in the one-on-one competition, the three-point competition, or The Hot Shot competition, with first-place trophies for the winners of each fan event. We’ll also have live entertainment and a silent auction featuring awesome prizes.
