Karen M. Miller – A trailblazing public servant and longtime Boone County District One Commissioner (1993–2017), Miller was instrumental in advancing public safety and county infrastructure, including the development of the Boone County 911 Center.
Dr. Frank L. Mitchell, Jr., M.D. (posthumous) – A pioneering trauma surgeon and emergency care visionary, Dr. Mitchell revolutionized emergency medical services in Missouri and helped establish the University Hospital’s Level I trauma center that now bears his name.
The Cosmopolitan Luncheon Club – Since 1947, this civic organization has donated nearly $1.5 million and countless volunteer hours to public health and parks in Columbia, becoming a vital force in local philanthropy.
Celebrate these outstanding contributors to our community at the Boone County History Makers Hall of Fame Gala! Please honor them with us on October 4 at the Country Club of Missouri!
