Singer/Songwriter Showcase
with Alice Howe, Freebo, Sam Robbins, and Halley Neal
Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present an evening of contemporary folk in-the-round with singer/songwriters Alice Howe, Freebo, Sam Robbins, and Halley Neal. Each artist will perform solo and collaborate with the others in a unique shared-concert experience.
Freebo is a folk, rock, and blues icon, best known for his decade as bassist with Bonnie Raitt. His fretless bass has also been featured on recordings by John Mayall, Ringo Starr, Crosby Stills & Nash, Maria Muldaur, Joe Walsh, and Dr. John, among others. A multi-award-winning songwriter, Freebo has appeared on Saturday Night Live, The Muppet Show, The Midnight Special, and in concert with the Legendary Spinal Tap.
Alice Howe, named Best Female Artist at the International Acoustic Music Awards, captivates with the natural, unvarnished beauty of her voice. Her poetic lyrics and melodic sensibilities shine on her latest solo album Circumstance, produced by Freebo and recorded at the legendary FAME Studios in Muscle Shoals, AL.
Sam Robbins is an “old soul” singer/songwriter and modern troubadour. Touring across the U.S. with his acclaimed 2025 album So Much I Still Don’t See, Sam was named one of Atwood Magazine’s “Artists to Watch,” has performed on The Voice, and has shared stages with Jason Mraz and Liz Longley. He has also appeared at major festivals including Kerrville, Falcon Ridge, and Wheatland.
Halley Neal, a Boston-based folk singer and songwriter formerly from Nashville, brings award-winning vocals and uplifting, peace-centered themes to her performances. She has earned national recognition performing at renowned folk festivals such as Kerrville Folk Fest, Rocky Mountain Folks Fest, and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival.
