Cellist, vocalist, and composer Queralt Giralt Soler brings her deeply expressive trio to the stage for an evening of genre-blurring original music and inspired reinterpretations. Blending classical training with Catalan folk traditions, jazz, and contemporary sounds, Giralt Soler weaves cello and voice into a singular, intimate musical language.Based between the U.S. and Catalunya, she has performed internationally and collaborated with renowned artists including Kenny Barron, Joe Lovano, and Latin Grammy winners Las Migas, with performances heard at venues such as Carnegie Hall and the Detroit Jazz Festival. Joined by Mahya Hamedi on piano, percussion, and vocals, and Bahar Badiei on oud and vocals, the trio will present Giralt Soler’s original compositions alongside reimagined works by influential composers such as Hermeto Pascoal and Paco de Lucía—music that is lyrical, adventurous, and deeply personal.
