Alexander Christou – " Post Culture Iconography "
Alexander Christou, born in 1962, is a painter, musician, composer, and DJ based in Berlin-Kreuzberg. He was already present in the 1980s with exhibitions at Galerie Endart, Allgirls Galerie, and Haus Bethanien. Since 2019, he has devoted himself more intensively to painting.
In his current exhibition, "Post Culture Iconography," Christou presents minimalist, large-format works that trace the great mythological journeys and legends in sketchy, black-and-white nature. A world of fading lines and fragments, translucence, and sun-bleached scribbles.
