About this Event
About this event
Albion launch their debut studio album Testament with a special live show at the Temple of Art & Music, Elephant & Castle.
Formed in London in 2015, Albion are a six-piece band shaped by pubs, dive bars, and the long road of playing songs until they mean something. No trends. No tech. Just poetic, powerful music forged over time.
Testament is a record about modern Britain — a country in decline and a dream on the brink. Written over the past ten years, it captures the places, the people, the joy and the damage we’ve all lived through. Tatty teeth and tattered hearts. Old boozers and back rooms. Poetry, politics, and the urgent desire to find freedom and escape.
Recorded in Margate at the Libertines’ Albion Rooms, the album brings together storytelling songs that look back alongside sharp reflections on the present.
Bands do well in bad times.
This night marks the first time Testament is presented live.
A note from the Temple of Art & Music
The Temple of Art & Music was born from a promise kept. Like many grassroots venues, it exists because we believed music still mattered enough to give something up for — time, money, certainty — to create a place where artists could be heard properly.
Every so often, a band comes along that reminds us exactly why we did it.
Everything about Albion gives us great pleasure, and it is an honour to host them for the launch of Testament. Their songs, their story, and their commitment to craft reflect the very reason this venue exists.
If you are going to come out and show your support for the great British music revival, this is the night to do it.
The Great British Music Raffle
As a thank you for supporting this night, every ticket includes entry into The Great British Music Raffle.
The raffle celebrates British music past, present, and future. Prizes include memorabilia from the golden age of British music, alongside a special item from Albion to mark the beginning of what we hope is a new gold age for British music.
It’s our way of saying thank you — and of honouring where this music comes from.
The night
Expect new material from Testament, familiar songs, and a room full of people who still believe in live music.

Why this matters
This is more than an album launch. It’s a moment — for a band, for a venue, and for everyone who still shows up when the lights go down and the songs begin.

Food, drinks & supporting the Temple
Great food is available from the independent traders at Mercato Metropolitano, right outside our door — arrive early, eat well, and settle in for the night.
All drinks are served from the Temple of Art & Music bar inside the venue. The bar is one of the main ways this place survives. Every drink helps pay the artists, the sound engineers, the door staff, and the people who keep nights like this possible.
We ask that drinks bought elsewhere in Mercato aren’t brought into the venue. Any outside drinks will incur a small £5 charge per drink — not as a penalty, but as a way of keeping things fair and keeping the lights on.
When you buy a drink at the TAM bar, you’re not just having a pint or a glass of wine —
you’re directly supporting the music, the people behind it, and the community in the room.
Come hungry. Come thirsty.
And come ready to raise a glass to Albion’s best work to date. 🍷
