Dorset folk singer Alastair Braidwood is joined by his friend & mentor, esteemed & respected folk musician Tim Laycock (https://timlaycock.co.uk/) for an evening of words & music relating to the turning of the year towards Autumn: the harvest, countryside ways &, most importantly, cider! Alastair and Tim, recent recipient of an EFDSS gold badge, are both actors & storytellers, as well as musicians & singers. They are best known for their unaccompanied close-harmony singing woven into short stories. Readings, songs, & traditional tunes to toe-tap along to, all from the West Country, will come together to create a seasonal evening that educates as well as entertains. This performance is part of a tour to celebrate their first album together: Friends & Neighbours.

Alastair & Tim will give us two forty-five minute spots & the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
We have a loyalty card. Six visits earn you £5 off an evening when admission is £5 or more. It's £12 cash tonight. Email valmaigoodyear[at]aol[dot]com to reserve tickets.
