Geoff teases English and Irish folk, Americana and jazz songs out of his vintage Crane duet concertina. He's a fine singer. After 50 years as a journalist Geoff recorded his debut CD ,”After All These Years” at the age of 69, which garnered four & five-star reviews & national radio airplay. He's toured with stellar banjo player Rob Murch. Geoff is also the patriarch of a folk dynasty - as dad of Seth, Sean & Sam & father-in-law of Cara Dillon & Kathryn Roberts. Geoff will give us two forty-five minute spots & the rest of the evening is filled by members of the audience doing a song or tune if they wish.
Everyone is welcome, especially if you'd like to sing or play. We mostly sing and play traditional music from the British Isles, but we enjoy other styles as well. We always start off with some English dance tunes for anyone with an instrument to join in.
